Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
A. L. M. 1 Those are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 a guide and a mercy for those who do good, 3 for those who attend to their prayers and pay the zakat and who have firm faith in the Hereafter: 4 Such have guidance from their Lord. Such are the successful. 5 And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment. 6 When Our verses are recited before them they turn away haughtily as though they did not hear them, as if a deafness had come into their ears. So give them tidings of a shameful punishment. 7 (As for) those who believe and do good, they shall surely have gardens of bliss, 8 They shall abide in them forever. This is Allah's promise that shall come true. He is the Most Powerful, the Most Wise. 9 He has created the heavens without any pillars, that you see and has set on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And We send down water (rain) from the sky, and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein. 10 This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created. Rather, the wrongdoers are in clear error. 11
