Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Most Auspicious is He in Whose control is the entire kingship; and He is Able to do all things. 1 He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving;- 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued. 4 And certainly We have adorned this lower heaven with lamps and We have made these missiles for the Shaitans, and We have prepared for them the chastisement of burning. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end! 6 When they are cast into it they shall hear it sighing, while it boils 7 Almost bursting with fury: Every time a Group is cast therein, its Keepers will ask, "Did no Warner come to you?" 8 They will reply: "Yea, a warner did indeed come unto us, but we gave him the lie and said, 'Never has God sent down anything [by way of revelation]! You [self-styled warners] are but lost in a great delusion!"' 9 And they will then say: 'If only we had listened and understood we should not now be among the inhabitants of the Blaze' 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 Shall He who has created (all things) not know? He is the Subtle, the Aware. 14
