No, by the moon! 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 a warning to mortal man 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
