Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
