Man says, 'What, when I am dead shall I then be brought forth alive?' 66 Will the human not remember that We created him before when he was not a thing? 67 By your Lord, We shall most surely gather them and the devils too; and bring them close to hell on their knees. 68 from every party We will pluck out whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the Most Merciful. 69 We alone know who deserves most to be burned therein. 70 And not one of you but shall pass over it: it is for thy Lord an ordinance decreed. 71 We will save the pious ones from the hell fire and leave the unjust people therein in crowded groups. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to those who deny the Truth they are wont to say to those who have faith: "Which of the two groups has a better status and whose assemblies are grander?" 73 How numerous are the peoples We destroyed before them - those that were more resourceful and grander in outward appearance! 74 Say: "As for him who lives in error, may the Most Gracious lengthen the span of his life! [And let them say whatever they say until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned - whether it be suffering [in this world] or [at the coming of] the Last Hour - for then they will understand which [of the two kinds of man] was worse in station and weaker in resources! 75 God gives greater guidance to those who are guided; and good deeds that endure are better with your Lord for reward, and better for consequence. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he looked to the unseen, or has he made a pledge to the Merciful One? 78 Absolutely not, We will record his words and prolong his punishment. 79 We shall inherit that of which he speaks and he will come before Us alone. 80 And they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that they would be for them [a source of] honor. 81 By no means! anon they shall deny their worship, and become unto them an adversary. 82
