۞ Say: 'I give you but one admonition, that you stand unto God, two by two and one by one, and then reflect: no madness is in your comrade. He is naught but a warner unto you, before a terrible chastisement.' 46 Say: "No reward have I ever asked of you [out of anything] that is yours: my reward rests with none but God, and He is witness unto everything!" 47 Say: "Verily, my Sustainer hurls the truth [against all that is false] He who fully knows all the things that are beyond the reach of a created being's perception!" 48 Say thou: the truth is come, and falsehood shall neither originate nor be restored. 49 Say: "If I am in error it is to my own loss; if I am on guidance that is so because of what my Lord reveals to me. He is all-hearing and all-too-near." 50 And could you see when they shall become terrified, but (then) there shall be no escape and they shall be seized upon from a near place 51 and say: 'We believe in it' But how can they reach from a place that is distant, 52 Whereas they disbelieved therein afore, and conjectured about the unseen from a place so afar. 53 And they will be shut off from that which they will eagerly desire, as shall be done with the likes of them of yore. Verily they have been in doubt perplexing. 54
