۞ (It will be said to the angels): "Assemble those who did wrong, together with their companions (from the devils) and what they used to worship. 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 "How is it that [now] you cannot succour one another?" 25 No, today they will resign themselves in submission, 26 They will turn to each other saying, 27 "It was you who tried to mislead us from righteousness". 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 And we had no authority over you, but you were an inordinate people; 30 So the sentence of our Lord has come to pass against us: (now) we shall surely taste; 31 And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators." 32 So, they will become partners in punishment. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 "Surely, he has brought the truth, confirming those who were sent before; 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 but you shall not be recompensed except for what you were doing. 39 Save the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits; and they will be honored 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 Facing each other on Thrones (of Dignity): 44 a cup from a spring being passed round to them, 45 white, a delight to the drinkers, 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 Who said: What! are you indeed of those who accept (the truth)? 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me. 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 Is it then that we are not going to die, 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 This is indeed the mighty triumph, 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 and its fruits are like the heads of devils. 65 and they eat of it, and of it fill their bellies, 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 But We sent aforetime, among them, (messengers) to admonish them;- 72 See how those who were warned met their end! 73 except for God's sincere servants. 74
