Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth, and all that is between them, the Majestic and All-forgiving". 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the High Assembly's dispute. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 Said [Iblis]: "Then, O my Sustainer, grant me a respite till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead!" 79 He (Allah) said: 'You are among those that are respited 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 (Iblis) said: "Then, by Thy power, I will put them all in the wrong, 82 Except, among them, Your chosen servants." 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
