The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

A. L. M. 1 This is the Book of Allah: there is no doubt about it. It is guidance to Godfearing people, 2 who believe in the Unseen, and perform the prayer, and expend of that We have provided them; 3 And who believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon thee, [O Prophet,] as well as in that which was bestowed before thy time: for it is they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful. 5 As for those who deny, it is all the same if you warn them or not, they will not believe. 6 God has sealed their hearts and hearing and their vision is veiled; a great punishment awaits them. 7
