It is He who gave you ears, eyes and hearts, yet how seldom you are grateful! 78 And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. 79 And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? 80 On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. 81 'When we are dead and become dust and bones shall we be resurrected? 82 "Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before (us)! This is only the tales of the ancients!" 83 Say, "To whom do the earth and all therein belong? Tell me, if you have any knowledge?" 84 Thereupon they will say, “To Allah”; proclaim, “Therefore why do you not ponder?” 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say "In Whose Hand is the sovereignty of everything (i.e. treasures of each and everything)? And He protects (all), while against Whom there is no protector, (i.e. if Allah saves anyone none can punish or harm him, and if Allah punishes or harms anyone none can save him), if you know." [Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 12, Page 145] 88 They will surely say: God's. Say thou: how then are ye turned away? 89 Nay! We have brought to them the truth, and most surely they are liars. 90 Never did Allah take to Himself a son, and never was there with him any (other) god-- in that case would each god have certainly taken away what he created, and some of them would certainly have overpowered others; glory be to Allah above what they describe! 91 Knower of the unseen and the seen, Exalted is He above that which they associate! 92
