1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 And stop them; verily they are to be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 Those say, 'No; on the contrary, you were not believers; 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 "So now has been proved true, against us, the word of our Lord that we shall indeed (have to) taste (the punishment of our sins). 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 Verily, thus shall We deal with all who were lost in sin: 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet? 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Most surely you will taste the painful punishment. 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 For them awaits a known provision, 41 Fruits; and they shall be honoured, 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 White, delicious for the drinkers. 46 wherein no sickness is, neither intoxication; 47 And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes. 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth] 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 He said, “By Allah, you had nearly ruined me!” 56 And had it not been for the favor of my Lord, I would certainly have been among those brought up. 57 What then, shall we not die 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 For the like of this let all strive, who wish to strive. 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 for, behold, it is a tree that grows in the very heart of the blazing fire [of hell,] 64 Its produce is as it were the heads of the serpents. 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then after it, indeed for them is the drink of boiling hot water. 67 Then most surely their return shall be to hell. 68 They found their fathers had gone astray; 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly there went stray before them many of the ancients. 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 Look, then how was the end of those who had been warned, 73 Not so the chosen servants of God. 74
