3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We rescued him and his people from the greatest affliction 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
