Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: "This is a momentous message, 67 from which you are turning away.” 68 I had no knowledge of the Highest Chiefs when they disputed; 69 Naught is revealed unto me except that I am a warner manifest. 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 Except Iblis (Satan) he was proud and was one of the disbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 Satan replied, "I am better than him. You created me from fire, but You created him from clay." 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He (satan) replied: 'Respite me my Lord till the Day of Resurrection' 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 (God) said: "This is right by Me, and what I say is right. 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
