Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 When those [heavenly messengers] came unto him and bade him peace, he answered, "[And upon you be] peace!" - [saying to himself,] "They are strangers." 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 So he brought it near them. He said: What! will you not eat? 27 [And when he saw that the guests would not eat,] he became apprehensive of them; [but] they said, "Fear not" - and gave him the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who would be endowed with deep knowledge. 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said: "Thus said your Lord. He is indeed all-wise and all-knowing." 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 to bring down upon them showers of marked lumps of clayy. 33 Marked by your Lord for the Musrifun (polytheists, criminals, sinners those who trespass Allah's set limits in evil-doings by committing great sins). 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 but We found only one Muslim house. 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. 40 And in Aad. We let loose on them a withering wind 41 Which turned everything it touched to ashes. 42 And in Thamud, when We said to them: "Enjoy yourselves for a while;" 43 Then they disdained the command of their Lord; wherefore the bolt laid hold of them even while they looked on. 44 they could not stand up again, nor could they defend themselves. 45 And the people of Nuh before, surely they were a transgressing people. 46
