۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And that is indeed a tremendous oath, if you understand. 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Wherefore then - when the soul cometh up to the wind-pipe 83 and you are watching at that time 84 But We (i.e. Our angels who take the soul) are nearer to him than you, but you see not, [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 209] 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss. 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 Then upon you is the greetings of peace (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), from those on the right. 91 But if he is of the rejecters, the erring, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
