Nay, by the Moon 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is held in pledge against its own deeds, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 Concerning the culprits: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then will no intercession of (any) intercessors profit them. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
