The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven of the constellations! 1 And the promised day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believing men and women without repenting will suffer the torment of hell and that of the burning fire. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
