Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created and shaped, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
