The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they may have been doing (in the past)? 112 “Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
