And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 Shall We make those who believe and work righteous works like unto the corrupters in the earth; or shall We make the God-fearing like unto the wicked! 28 This is a blessed Book which We sent down to you [Muhammad], for people to ponder over its messages, and for those with understanding to take heed. 29 We gave David Solomon. He was an excellent servant who always turned to God. 30 When the noble galloping horses were displayed to him one evening, 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 [He said], "Return them to me," and set about striking [their] legs and necks. 33 And We certainly tried Solomon and placed on his throne a body; then he returned. 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 So We subjected to him the wind blowing by his command, gently, wherever he directed, 36 and also the jinn, every kind of builder and diver 37 and others linked together in fetters. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
