Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

By the morning hours 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 Did He not find you wandering about and give you guidance? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
