See you not those who dispute about the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah? How are they turning away (from the truth, i.e. Islamic Monotheism to the falsehood of polytheism)? 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged 71 Into the boiling water; then into the Fire they will be stocked. 72 They will then be asked: "Where are they you took as partners 73 "Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. 74 [The angels will say], "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 Therefore have patience, the Promise of Allah is true. Whether We show you something of that We promise them or call you to Us, to Us they shall all return. 77 And indeed, [O Muhammad,] We sent forth apostles before thy time; some of them We have mentioned to thee, and some of them We have not mentioned to thee. And it was not given to any apostle to bring forth a miracle other than by God's leave. Yet when God's will becomes manifest, judgment will [already] have been passed in all justice, and lost will be, then and there, all who tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand]. 78
