Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Qur'an. 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. 5 What, have they never observed the heaven above them, (and seen) how We built and adorned it, leaving no crack? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah denied before them, and the companions of the well and Thamud 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
