Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the Night as it conceals (the light); 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 And testifieth to the Good, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 But he who does not give and is unconcerned, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 We shall facilitate the path to affliction 10 And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? 11 Surely Ours is it to show the way, 12 And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. 13 and so I warn you of the raging fire 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 who spend for the cause of God and purify themselves. 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 But only seeking the Countenance of his Lord the Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
