۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 The Pharaoh sent word to all the cities saying, 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We revealed to Moses, 'Strike with thy staff the sea'; and it clave, and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
