Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon shall be ecliped. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day will man be apprised of his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 Therefore when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 gazing upon their Lord; 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Knowing that there will be made to befall them some great calamity. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 When legs are twisted around each other, 29 at that time towards thy Sustainer does he feel impelled to turn! 30
