Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 They will not be able to speak that day, 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 And those that distinguish distinctly, 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
