In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him (Allah) Who has created the earth and high heavens. 4 the Most Gracious, established on the throne of His almightiness? 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 God is the only Lord and to Him belong all the exalted Names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no god except Me. Worship Me, and establish the prayer of My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming; I would conceal it that every soul may be recompensed for its labours. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Musa! 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 "Now place thy hand within thy armpit: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish, as another sign [of Our grace,] 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
