Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 Call to mind when he fled to the laden ship, 140 and sailed away in a laden ship, wherein people cast lots. Because he lost, he was thrown into the water. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who glorify Allah, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 and caused a creeping plant to grow over him [out of the barren soil]. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 They believed in him so We granted them enjoyment for an appointed time. 148 Now, ask them, has your Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We make the angels females, and they witnessed it? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 "He has chosen daughters in preference to sons"! 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They claim that He has kinship with the jinn, yet the jinn themselves know that they will be produced before Him [for judgement]. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 “We would certainly be the chosen bondmen of Allah.” 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 Most surely they shall be the assisted ones 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And wait; they will come to know soon. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our punishment? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 And see, for they are going to see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
