And if We let a man taste mercy from Us, and then We wrest it from him, he is desperate, ungrateful. 9 And if, after adversity, We let him taste good fortune he says, "All my ills are gone." He becomes exultant and boastful. 10 Not so those who are patient and do good deeds. They shall have forgiveness and a great reward. 11 You may haply omit some of what has been revealed to you, and may be disheartened because they say: "Why was no treasure sent down to him, or an angel accompanied him?" Yet you have been sent to warn alone, for God takes care of everything. 12 Or they say, "He (Prophet Muhammad SAW) forged it (the Quran)." Say: "Bring you then ten forged Surah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allah (to your help), if you speak the truth!" 13 And if they [whom you have called to your aid] are not able to help you, then know that [this Qur'an] has been bestowed from on high out of God's wisdom alone, and that there is no deity save Him. Will you, then, surrender yourselves unto Him?" 14 To those who desire the life of this world and its many allures, We shall pay them in full for their acts herein and will not withold any thing. 15 They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of no effect are the deeds that they do! 16 And what of him who stands upon a clear sign from his Lord, and a witness from Him recites it, and before him is the Book of Moses for an ensample and a mercy? Those believe in it; but whosoever disbelieves in it, being one of the partisans, his promised land is the Fire. So be thou not in doubt of it; it is the truth from thy Lord, but most men do not believe. 17 Who does greater wrong than the one who fabricates a lie against God? Such people shall be brought before their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied about their Lord." Surely God's rejection is merited by such wrongdoers. 18 "Those who would hinder (men) from the path of Allah and would seek in it something crooked: these were they who denied the Hereafter!" 19 These shall not escape in the earth, nor shall they have any guardians besides Allah; the punishment shall be doubled for them, they could not bear to hear and they did not see. 20 They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch! 21 Truly in the hereafter they are the greatest losers. 22 Verily those who believed and worked righteous works and humbled themselves before their Lord - they shall be the fellows of the Garden: therein they shall be abiders. 23 ۞ The example of the two groups is like one being blind and deaf, and the other seeing and hearing; are they equal in condition? So do you not ponder? 24
