'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 And associate him in my affair. 32 So that we should glorify Thee much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are surely watching over us. 35 Said He: "Thou art granted all that thou hast asked for, O Moses! 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 When your sister went and said: Shall I direct you to one who will take charge of him? So We brought you back to your mother, that her eye might be cooled and she should not grieve and you killed a man, then We delivered you from the grief, and We tried you with (a severe) trying. Then you stayed for years among the people of Madyan; then you came hither as ordained, O Musa. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 They replied, "Our Lord is the One Who has created all things and has given guidance". 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a book, my Lord errs not, nor does He forget; 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
