O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 But they split in their affair between them into sects, each party rejoicing in what is with them. 53 So leave them immersed in their heedlessness till an appointed time. 54 Do they think that by increasing their wealth and children 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Surely those who live in awe of their Lord, 57 And those who in the signs of their Lord do believe. 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give that (their charity) which they give (and also do other good deeds) with their hearts full of fear (whether their alms and charities, etc., have been accepted or not), because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). 60 to God, these are the ones who really compete with each other in virtuous deeds and are the foremost ones in the task. 61 We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 Until when We overtake those who lead easy lives among them with punishment, lo! they cry for succor. 64 (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. 65 My revelations were recited to you, but you turned your backs 66 In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. 67 Pondered they not over the Word? or came there unto them that which came not unto their fathers ancient? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 You are surely calling them to the right path. 73 but those who do not believe in the Hereafter are ever prone to deviate from the Right Way. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed their afflictions, they would still persist in their insolence, blindly wandering. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
