Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner has come to them from among them; and the unbelievers say, 'This is a marvellous thing! 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 We know all what the earth decreases from them; and with Us is a Book that retains. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth, We have made it plain and cast in it mountains and We have made to grow therein of all beautiful kinds, 7 All these are to serve as eye openers and as a lesson to every being who is prone to turn (to the Truth). 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 And lofty palm trees having fruit arranged in layers - 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). 14 Did We fail to accomplish the first creation? Of course, We did not; We have all power over all things. Yet they are confused about a new creation. 15
