Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Beneficent (God) 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He has created man: 3 He hath taught him utterance. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 And the stars and trees prostrate. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 And the earth hath He appointed for (His) creatures, 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 (He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter). 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
