The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 when the earth shall be rocked 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And you will become divided into three categories. 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 And those on the left hand; how miserable shall those on the left hand be! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 They shall be the nearest to God. 11 In the gardens of bliss. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of later ages, 14 They will recline on jewelled couches 15 facing one another. 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 neither causing headaches, nor intoxication; 19 along with fruits of their choice; 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Nought but the saying: peace! peace! 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 And shade extended 30 and outpoured waters, 31 And abundant fruit, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 for those on the Right, 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
