The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking stones with their hooves, sparking fire. 2 Then those charging in the morning 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And indeed, he is to that a witness. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
