And Noah -- when he called before, and We answered him, and delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We saved him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together. 77 David and Solomon were trying to settle the case of the people's sheep that grazed in a corn-field at night. We witnessed their decree in that matter. 78 and We made Solomon to understand it, and unto each gave We judgment and knowledge. And with David We subjected the mountains to give glory, and the birds, and We were doers. 79 It was We Who taught him the making of coats of mail for your benefit, to guard you from each other's violence: will ye then be grateful? 80 And We subdued the strongly raging wind to Solomon which blew at his bidding towards the land We blessed. We know everything. 81 And of the satans were some who dove for him, and worked a work beside that; and of them We were the Watchers. 82 ۞ And Job -- when he called unto his Lord, 'Behold, affliction has visited me, and Thou art the most merciful of the merciful.' 83 So We heard his cry and relieved him of the misery he was in. We restored his family to him, and along with them gave him others similar to them as a grace from Us and reminder for those who are obedient. 84 And Ishmael, Idris, Dhul Kifl -- each was of the patient, 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous. 86 And Dhul Nun -- when he went forth enraged and thought that We would have no power over him; then he called out in the darkness, 'There is no god but Thou. Glory be to Thee! I have done evil.' 87 Then we heard his prayer and saved him from the anguish. Thus we save believers. 88 And Zachariah when he called to his Lord saying: 'Lord, do not let me remain by myself; You are the Best of inheritors' 89 So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us. 90 And she who was chaste, therefor We breathed into her (something) of Our Spirit and made her and her son a token for (all) peoples. 91 Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me. 92 And others have shattered their works into pieces among themselves; all have to return to Us. 93
