The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Has not there come to you the story of the hosts, 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
