For everything on the earth is extinction. 26 There remaineth but the Countenance of thy Lord of Might and Glory. 27 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 28 Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth implore Him; every day He is upon some labour. 29 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 30 We shall dispose of you, O ye two dependents (man and jinn). 31 (We shall then see), which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 32 O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)! 33 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 34 Flames of smokeless fire and black smoke without flames, will be let loose on you, so you will not be able to retaliate. 35 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 36 When the heaven splits asunder and turns crimson, like red leather. 37 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 38 Neither man nor jinn will be questioned on that day about his sin. 39 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 40 The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet. 41 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 42 This is hell, which the criminals deny. 43 They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree]. 44 Which of your Lord's powers will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 45
