Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

DESTROYED WILL BE the hands of Abu Lahab, and he himself will perish. 1 Neither his wealth nor his gains will avail him. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 And his wife also: the firewood carrier; 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
