The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 THESE ARE MESSAGES of the divine writ, clear in itself and clearly showing the truth! 2 Wouldst thou, perhaps, torment thyself to death [with grief] because they [who live around thee] refuse to believe [in it]? 3 If We list, We can send down unto them a sign from the heaven so that their necks would become to it submissive. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 Have they, then, never considered the earth - how much of every noble kind [of life] We have caused to grow thereon? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 Verily Your Lord is Infinitely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 9
