Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 And they say: When will this threat come to pass, if you are truthful? 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 There is not a thing hidden in the heaven and earth except that it is in a Clear Book. 75 Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Surely your Lord will judge between them by his judgment, and He is the Mighty, the knowing. 78 Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
