EXHORT, then, [O Prophet, all men:] for, by thy Sustainer's grace, thou art neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Tell them: "Keep on expecting, I am expecting with you." 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather they are not certain. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof. 38 Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 Hence, leave them alone until they face that [Judgment] Day of theirs, when they will be stricken with terror: 45 A day on which their scheming will not benefit them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 And in a part of the night exalt Him and after [the setting of] the stars. 49
