The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 He created man 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 with fruit thereon, and palm trees with sheathed clusters [of dates,] 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from clay like that of earthenware. 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the East and Lord of the West. 17 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 His too are the ships that run, raised up in the sea like land-marks. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
