[O MEN! Pay heed to God's messages,] for it is He who has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and minds: [yet] how seldom are you grateful! 78 He it is who has multiplied you on the earth and to Him you shall all be gathered: 79 And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and for Him are the alternations of night and day; so do you not have sense? 80 They say exactly the same thing as the people who lived before. 81 They say: when we are dead, and have become dust and bones, shall we verily be raised up? 82 We and our forefathers were promised this before. This is nothing but fables of the ancients." 83 (Muhammad), say to them, "Tell me, if you know, to whom does the earth and its contents belong?" 84 [And they will reply: "Unto God." Say: "Will you not, then, bethink yourselves [of Him]?" 85 Say: "Then who is the Lord of the seven skies? And who is the Lord of the mighty Throne?" 86 They will say: "God." Say: "Then why do you not obey and fear Him?" 87 Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know? 88 Thereupon they will say, “Such greatness is only that of Allah”; say, “Then by what magic are you deceived?” 89 Aye! We have brought them the truth and verily they are the liars. 90 Allah has not chosen any child, nor any other God along with Him – were it so, each God would have taken away its creation, and each one would certainly wish superiority over the other; Purity is to Allah above all the matters they fabricate. 91 All-Knower of the unseen and the seen! Exalted be He over all that they associate as partners to Him! 92
