Did you not see those who dispute concerning the signs of Allah? Where are they being diverted? 69 Those who rejected the Book and the message which was given to Our Messenger will soon know (the consequences of their evil deeds). 70 When iron collars will be rounded over their necks, and the chains, they shall be dragged along. 71 In the boiling water, then they will be burned in the Fire. 72 Then it will be said to them, "Where is that which you used to associate [with Him in worship] 73 Beside Allah? They will say: they have failed us; aye! we have not been calling upon aught afore. Thus doth Allah lead the infidels astray. 74 (And it is said unto them): This is because ye exulted in the earth without right, and because ye were petulant. 75 Enter the gates of Gehenna and live there for ever. Evil is the lodging of the proud. 76 Therefore have patience, the Promise of Allah is true. Whether We show you something of that We promise them or call you to Us, to Us they shall all return. 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
