Noah said, 'My Lord, they have rebelled against me, and followed him whose wealth and children increase him only in loss, 21 "And they have plotted a mighty plot. 22 And said: 'Do not abandon your gods, and do not abandon Wadda or Suwa', or Yaghuth, Ya'uq or Nasr.' 23 And surely they have misled many. And increase Thou these wrong-doers in naught save error. 24 And so, because of their sins, they were drowned [in the great flood,] and were doomed to suffer the fire [of the hereafter]; and they found none who could succour them against God. 25 And Nuh (Noah) said: "My Lord! Leave not one of the disbelievers on the earth! 26 If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates. 27 My Lord, forgive me and my parents, and whoever enters my house as a believer, and forgive all believers, both men and women, and do not increase the wrong-doers in anything except perdition.” 28
