The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked, 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and by those who regulate events. 5 One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion, 6 And the second followeth it, 7 Hearts on that Day will be throbbing; 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 HAS THE STORY of Moses ever come within thy ken. 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 but he belied and disobeyed, 21 Then he quickly turned his back. 22 then he mustered 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So God seized him with the chastisement of the Last World and the First. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
