The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall make easy for you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the easy way (i.e. the doing of righteous deeds). 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The reminder will be received by him who fears (Allah), 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
