The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The (unprecedented) crash! 1 What is the event that terrifies the hearts? 2 How will you comprehend what the startling calamity is? -- 3 (It is) a Day whereon men will be like moths scattered about, 4 and the mountains shall be like plucked wool-tufts. 5 Then, as for him whose scales are heavy (with good works), 6 shall find himself in a happy state of life; 7 whereas he whose weight is light in the balance 8 the Abyss shall be his home. 9 And what will make you know what it is? 10 Raging Fire. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
